Share The Street was born out of concern for the safety of our city's children following a crash that killed two pre-schoolers walking with their class on a city sidewalk one year ago - January 22, 2009.

The Hayley Ng and Diego Martinez Law
Four year-old Hayley Ng and Three-year-old Diego Martinez were tragically killed on January 22, 2009, when a driver left his delivery van idling, unattended and in reverse on a crowded Chinatown street. The van hopped a curb and crashed into Hayley and Diego's pre-school class of twelve children. The investigation into what happened that day brought no charges against the driver.
